- 180 Degrees
Rob Gauntlett and James Hooper, the youngest Britons to have climbed Mount Everest, summiting just after their 19th birthdays in May 2006 completed an expedition called 180 degrees. They travelled from the North Pole to the South Pole using only natural or man-power only. The groundbreaking adventure covered 22,000 miles over 3 continents and took a year to complete.

On the 9th January 2009 Rob Gauntlett and James Atkinson were nearing the top of the Gervastutti Couloir on the East face of Mont Blanc du Tacul when for reasons that may never be known, the pair fell to their deaths.
The accident saddened so many but those left behind can draw from the shining example these young men set.

Lock Stock and Barrel Records are a young UK indie label. Initially set up as a vehicle for Never The Bride but then something wonderful happened: After hearing Never The Bride's recording of The Living Tree, the fabulous Dame Shirley Bassey fell in love with their song. It was suggested that she record it with Lock Stock and Barrell Records and the rest is history. They also recorded and produced her Get The Party Started album, which debuted at number 6 in the UK album charts. Her single The Living Tree was a UK top 40 hit and in the USA They had a dance mix in the Billboard Top 10.

- The Alexandra Bastedo Champions Animal Sanctuary
Alexandra Bastedo has run an animal sanctuary for the last 30 years. Her first animal rescue was a donkey, and her sanctuary is now home to over 150 creatures, including donkeys, ponies, miniature shetlands, cats, poultry, sheep and pigs.

A small friendly village club that welcomes new members. Being a member entitles you to use the facilities at any time. There are three hard courts and these can be booked up to 1 week in advance. There is a small clubhouse where several social events are organised.
